After last couple of updates … SCM now crashes when running Google Maps Scraper for extended time (hours).
Nothing to show because I come back to computer and SCM not running anymore .. I have to restart SCM .. and job says “FAILED”. So I run again .. it runs for a while .. then I come back .. and its not running and so on.
When it says failed hover over failed text.
Does it show anything?
When you say it’s not running what on the app ui makes you think that.
Is it not responsive… White screen etc?
I might have to enable log to file for you so that we can look at the task logs.
I put in a new update.
SCM will show error box if the main process crashes for any reason.
Might help us figure what is happening.
But I am assuming the UI stays responsive but all tasks seem frozen and the task log doesn’t update?
No … SCM disappears entirely. like a Force Stop. have to start SCM up again completely … started happening after a couple version updates ago.
So the app disappears completely.
Can you check the event viewer to see if there is an entry for SCM?
How many task threads are you running?
I dont see anything in Windows Viewer that says anything about SCM .. but there are thousands of messages in there. Doesn’t matter how many task threads .. it crashes on just 1 task thread or any other number.
Have you updated as well today?
Newest version added a crash log that writes to file and also all tasks logs are written to file as well.
Hopefully we can catch something.
When next time error happens, open SCM,
Go settings > utility > find scm db
Look for file error.log see if anything is written
Before restarting the task, go hamburger > locate task log
Open log file and send it to me so I can see where it stopped

yes .. it keeps going. i dont know if it was the cause of the crashing or not.
Before it would give up if it was unable to find the reviews

FYI wanted to let you know that the no review errors have been fixed in the next update.
Thank you but it is still crashing .. no idea why. It’s hardly usable. I dont know how to debug this because the app just force-closes with no error message.
