Is it possible to integrate Scrapeowl Proxy in SCM to use for Google map/other scraping.
Actually the Scrapeowl is scraping Api and is very cheap compared to using residential proxies which cost a lot more.
You may please see if it can be integrated in scm
Got it, thanks. There was a similar request to use serp api as well.
Actually scrapeowl is much cheaper and provide more options

Hmm interesting, thanks for the detailed break down.
Do you have a scrape owl api key? If you can share it it will help with implementation.
But since you can do all the scraping with scrape owl, where do you want SCM to work with it?
Scrapeowl offers a free trial without a credit card with 1000 API credits.
https://app.scrapeowl.com/register
If this can be implemented in every function under scrapers in SCM, of course with an option to switch it on or off if someone wants to scrap without using it.
I hope this feature request will be considered. Will reduce the cost of monthly proxy expense and the data amount limitation
Thanks
Currently writing a bunch of tutorials and improving the workflow and ui
But will get around to this
Integration provided by using scrapeowl proxies mode
Find your proxy string
https://scrapeowl.com/docs#proxy-mode
Paste proxy string into SCM proxy settings
SCM will make all Google search requests via scrapeowl own service.
Thank you so much for considering this request. I have sent a report seems to be a bug
Yes there was a proxy parsing bug in SCM.
With the new update just now, the bug seems to be squashed. And it’s working now. Will keep testing it more and give feedback. Thank you so much for working on this feature, resolves the issue of expensive proxies for sure to use Google. Will this work with other websites as well?
Proxies rolled out for all search engines + keyword question + Dynamic page scraper
If there is any other place you need proxy coverage please let me know
Thank you so much. Can you please add the scrape owl proxy coverage for Youtube, web crawler, search & news, and URL also. Thanks
Right now, SCM only using proxies where a real browser is being used to contact sites, some other features like web crawler do not use a real browser, just requests a html string via simple download.
This applies to youtube as well.
The url, search and news scraper already has proxy support.
Got it, thanks
Unfortunately scrapeowl premium proxy does not solve Google captchas…
It requires using their Google API , which I am not able to find documentation for on their API.
I have sent an email, waiting for a response.
Right now serp api seems like the correct alternative
SERP API as an alternative for Google scraping
There seems to be a problem with my Scrapeowl account, I reached out to their support and since then the issue seems to be resolved and there are no more issues on scraping so far, I hope it stays the same.
SERP API starting cost seems to be high. But is a good option as well.
