How to scrape website logos from a Google place listing

Using the Google maps scraper tool you can also download the image url of a website logo (first image) from the website listed on the Google place details.

SCM will visit the website of the place to find the site logo/header (ie the first image)

The link goes to this site.

The first image is the site logo.

SCM will save this into the csv file.

That url matches the website logo!

How to find a website logo from a Google map place listing

Create a Google map task.

By default the ‘website logo url’ is already pre-checked.

When the task is running check the task log…

Its working correctly when it reports looking for website logo.

If you don’t want to save extra time on scraping places, just turn this feature off and SCM will no longer open the website place in a browser.
