It seems that on a newly installed SCM instance, Google will issue a captcha challenge when you try to scrape the search results.

If you take the extra step to login to a Google Account first, this initial captcha challenge is not issued.

You can scrape Google results as normal.

You will still get captcha requests if you make too many searches per hour though.
